Industry: Telecommunications (Equipment/Operation/Value-Added Service) Location: Bejing Job Type: Full-time Job Category: Senior Software Engineer Career Level: Mid Career(2+ years experience) Responsibilities and Achievements: 2006.7~now , “Digital China Networks (Beijing) Limited” , my responsibility is to design or maintain the L3 software , for example , TCP/IP stack , OSPF , BGP , etc. The flowing is my experience in the past three years.
2007.1~2007.2 : Develop blackhole route , which can be used to discard the packet by software or switch device hardware.
2007.8~2007.10 : Design and develop OSPFv2/v3 different ospf process redistribution. Distribute the route of one process to another ospf process.
2007.11~2007.11 : Local arp-proxy , which can be used with port-isolate to resolve the ARP problem.
2008.3~2008.4 : OSPFv2 route aggregation at ABR/ASBR , and originate ospf blackhole route automatically , which solve the blackhole flow problem..
2008.6~2008.12 :
i. Develop the MPLS/VPN software forwarding and synchronize the ASIC chip, my major responsibility is to synchronize the FTN and ILM and resolve the bugs which are found by test center.
ii. MP-BGP, my major responsibility is to distribute MPLS label with VPNv4-Route, and advertise the remote VPN-Route to the Local-CE by RIP/OSPF/EBGP.
2009.6~2009.8 : Rework the DMLL3 module(Driver Middle Layer) , which is one module of the software platform.
i. Redevelop the CONFIG/6-TO-4/ISATAP tunnel with Loopback-Group(special port-channel) which can implement the 2-times lookup by the switch .
ii. Implement GRE tunnel redirection technology. Redirect the flow to another switch-chip which supports the GRE tunnel.
